Rescue Diver Course - R2170 Buy
Serious Fun!!
Description
PADI "Rescue Diver" course teaches you emergency prevention, intervention and management.

This course is one of the most challenging and rewarding courses you will complete as a diver. "Rescue Diver" will expand your knowledge in your preparation for further leadership training.

It will also teach you effective diver rescue skills and first aid while it prepares you to manage realistic rescue situations. "Rescue Diver" increases your awareness of dive safety and encourages divers to anticipate and prevent problems.

You learn to first think about your options available for handling an emergency and then act accordingly, using the best method for the situation.

So, get ready for some serious fun!

  • Write a rescue diver exam and score 75% or higher
  • After the scenarios your Instructor will de-brief you and sign off your logbook
The course is done partly in a pool environment and partly at an open water site
What's needed
Just yourself & your own softgear!
What's next

DiveMaster of course – or Master Diver – you choose!

The PADI DiveMaster is a logical next step if you like working with people. Not only will your diving skills be enhanced but also your knowledge and Rescue skills – building on what you have learnt on the Rescue diver and EFR courses.
Working with new and not so new divers can be a rewarding experience in itself but will also create the opportunity to dive a lot more and cost effective.

Don’t like people? Totally antisocial and morbid? Just hate crowds? Don’t do DM…rather choose a PADI specialty that will enhance your current skills - Choose any of the other specialty courses available – something that you enjoy , photography, underwater Naturalist or just the thrill of a wreck or the knowledge of Nitrox – and ignore people !

Notes
  • EFR MUST be completed BEFORE starting the Rescue Diver course.
  • An Emergency plan must be completed and handed in before OW Scenarios commence. This will be the same plan used in your DiveMaster course – so do it properly!
  • The Rescue DVD must be watched before any pool sessions take place.
  • You will need to be a Rescue Diver to apply for your Master Scuba Diver rating the highest non-professional dive rating with PADI!
