Description

An extension or add on of the Advance recreational Nitrox course, this course introduces Trimix to the diver. You will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of Helium as a breathing gas as well as learn how to plan and execute Trimix dives with different depths, mixes and times.
The main advantage is a significant reduction of Nitrogen Narcosis – believe me, it’s real!

Prerequisites
Must be certified Recreational Trimix or Advanced Nitrox with proof of 30 logged dives, OR have sufficient experience to satisfy your Instructor. Minimum of 15 years age with guardian approval, or 18 years without.

Course

This program will teach you how to dive safely with Trimix in the recreational range to 48m
The program uses EANx from 21% to a maximum of 1.5 POB2 combined with helium content, which will give you an equivalent narcotic depth of 24 meters.
You will be able to dive to 48 meters and perform decompression stops for up to 15 minutes, using a maximum of 1.5 POB2 Bas deco gas.
Two dives above 30 meters
Two dives between 30 and 48 meters
Theory will be covered between dives. Pre reading will help the smooth running of the course.
